20 things we would love to add to cart

Our team of in-house Saucettes from around the globe have shared their ‘add to cart’ picks for this month. No gatekeeping allowed, ever.

Prada Diapason Opaque Brushed Leather Lace-up Shoes

I only started buying designer shit when I was certain I was resilient enough to sit back and watch the consequences of my decisions fuck up my purchases. And that resilience only comes with being careless with disposable income. I bought pitch-black Prada shoes that clung to my ankles for dear life as I swung the carcass I resided in around tiny European towns for months. They survived a flood and my forgetfulness because they never left my feet. They look basically the same as when I first bought them. Some of my most treasured Prada pieces feel priceless to me.

Kevin Murphy Smooth Again

I started growing my hair four months ago. A dear friend (and Saucette!) Tom Ryan demanded I meet his hair stylist/friend Fernnando Miranda. Tom believed he was the only one who could craft my fluffy mop of hair. Fernando shapes your hair instead of cutting and shaving to accentuate and lift your natural features. Like a free face lift, girlies. I will interview him for Sauce soon, but until then, I’ll leave you with the only hair product I have used to shape my baby mullet and sort-of-cute fringe in four months (Fern’s immaculate recommendation, obvs)

Emma Lewisham Supernatural Blemish Serum

I am so proud of what we do at Emma Lewisham. Our Supernatural Blemish Serum with Q24 is a live patented probiotic strain discovered on actual living, healthy human facial skin. It’s called Q24, and it fucking slaps. Q24 (patent) naturally lives on our facial skin; it's our bacteria—a symbiotic love affair. We’ve bottled it up and pioneered a dual pump product that (once activated) basically eats all the shit (pathogenic) bacteria that cause acne, blackheads etc. It doesn’t exfoliate or peel - nothing stings or strips. I don’t have acne-prone skin, but the complexity and craft that’s gone into this formula have lifted so much life back into my skin. It’s blooming.

Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray

I just got a pretty short haircut, maybe 50 cm of my hair chopped off in one go, something I’ve wanted for a long time but didn’t have the balls to follow through with. Surprisingly, it’s pretty low maintenance, unless I sleep funny and then I wake up with my hair facing up. Anyway, I need to get this Oribe product because it’s like a dry shampoo and styling product in one and with my short hair, it will last forever so I can buy more expensive hair products now. Girl math!

The Row Men’s Loafer in Black Leather

I mean, if I could dress head to toe in The Row, I would. At least until I get a bit sick of it, you know. But my first purchase would probably be a nice loafer, so I’m thinking of getting this Men’s Loafer.

Acne Studios Super Baggy Fit Jeans

For someone who’s trying to be very mindful with purchases of clothes, I know that this one would be very silly because I’ll most likely get over these jeans in 6 months’ time. They’re many things but not timeless, if you know what I mean. But damn, they are just so nice!

Bregenzerwald Body Oil

I love Byredo, and I love Susan Kauffman, so it's only logical that the Byredo X Susan Kauffman collaboration finds its way into my life. I'm specifically coveting the Bregenzerwald Body Oil, a silky superlative blend of apricot kernel, meadowfoam seed, jojoba, black currant, rosemary and carrot. Admittedly I haven't smelt it, but I imagine it's herby, green, sophisticated and expensive.

Longing For Home Jacket

Not only is Maggie an epic person but her brand is all kinds of perfect. I have my eye on the Longing For Home Jacket in navy. There's something effortless and nostalgic about it, and I can tell it would be one of those easy pieces I reach for all the time. Great for late summer afternoons on the water to shield from the NE winds that blow right into Bronte (my favourite Sydney beach).

Yu Mei's Teresa Tote in Brunette Deer Napa

I really want a deep bucket-style tote to lug around all my shit, and my heart is set on Yu Mei's Teresa Tote in Brunette Deer Napa. The leather is buttery soft... the kind that gets better with age (I know this because I already have a Yu Mei should bag and it's the best). I also love the deep brown hue as an alternative to black that's equally wearable. It's also deep enough to hold all the essentials (laptop, chargers, camera, Frank Green water bottle).

Crocs Cowboy Boot

My Croctober is hinging entirely on these absolute masterpieces entering my wardrobe. I’d been holding off on the western boot trend in search of *the* perfect purchase and was definitely not expecting them to come from Crocs. But that’s the beauty of Crocs – they continue to keep us all guessing on what they’ll do next. The Crocs Cowboy boot comes embellished with unique metallic Jibbitz and a spur charm attached to the backstrap of the shoe. Yee-haw!!!

Youth To The People’s Superfood Hand Wash

There’s really only 2 beauty brands that continue to have a chokehold over me. One of them is a long time friend of Sauce and no doubt will feature elsewhere on this list. The other is Youth To The People. As a big fan of their Superfood cleanser, I was stoked when they announced that their product range was extending to include the new Superfood Antioxidant Hand Wash and Superfood Hand & Body Lotion. Cannot wait to try both of these. 🌱🌱🌱

Tsu Lange Yor Oil Burner

My home is ready to feel the rush courtesy of Aussie pop-star turned style savant, Troye Sivan. Tsu Lange Yor is Sivan’s new lifestyle brand serving up the most delicious range of scents for self and sanctuary. Having recently moved apartments, this recycled aluminum oil burner is primed to take center stage in the entrance – disbursing the brand's signature scent through my space and out into the surrounding Darlinghurst streets.

La Perla: Invisible Touch Eau de Parfum

Fragrance is my love language and with this one it was a magnetic connection. Me and the bottle, suspended in time because that's how powerful this scent was. The perfect balance of woody and gourmand.

Sofia Coppola Archive Coffee Table Book

If you're anything like me the sweetness of Coppola's femininity shaped your teenage psyche and I have never been the same. Everything she touches becomes soft and nostalgic and deeply personal. When I heard she was releasing a coffee table book, you best believe it's at the TOP of my list.

Mur Jewellery: Bubble Alphabet Necklace

I love a bit of nostalgia, so when I spotted these on my FYP they were immediately saved. The soft organic shapes, the 90s alphabet jewelry and the modern chrome finish. YES please!

Cecilie Bahnsen: FRYD Bag

We all know and love the volume and flounce of Cecilie Bahnsen's designs and this time she's made the PERFECT striking red bag. With tiny applique camellias and wispy bows, it's my dream bag for the upcoming wedding and holiday season!

Miu Miu Slingback

Miu Miu is having a moment and I am all for it. This classic patent heel reminds me of something 90s Carrie Bradshaw would wear. It’s simple but still sexy.

The Santa Croce Large Tote Bag

I have been eyeing woven bags ever since Monikh (London based style influencer) shared her summer bag. The Santa Croce large woven leather tote by Dragon Diffusion is the perfect understated bag that can also be styled well with your winter wardrobe. Handwoven in India, with each bag taking around two days to make, it is shaped into an open, structured trapeze shape. This bag is the perfect city-to-beach accessory.

Abel Green Cedar

Abel is truly one of the best natural fragrance companies out there and Green Cedar is quite possibly one of the best scents I’ve ever owned and used. Made from wild harvested Moroccan cedar-wood paired with a Texan cedar-wood, the scent is grounding and feels just as Frances describes it ‘i’ve come home’. I have the mini from a media kit but I need to get my hands on the full size.

Glossier Stretch Concealer & Skin Tint

Glossier FINALLY ships to New Zealand and this duo is currently in my cart. Glossier’s stretch concealer is the perfect product for that undone no makeup look for summer. It’s also a great product for good coverage without looking like you have anything on. I can’t figure out the exact shade so I need to do some digging around to find one that suits brown skin with south asian heritage. I’ve also added the iconic clear gloss in there for summer night out with friends.
